current politics in uganda

Museveni rose to power through the barrel of the gun and on top of a tank. That was more than thirty years ago, long before more than eighty per cent of Ugandans living today were born.
He rose to power proclaiming himself a member of a "new breed of African leaders." He repeatedly criticized other African leaders on the grounds that they were dictators who "clang to power" and could only relinquish power through death. He asserted that his only interest was to obliterate dictatorship from Ugandan politics--which had been introduced into Uganda by Obote I, Idi Amin, Yusuf Lule, Godfrey Binaisa, Paul Muwanga, Obote II, and Tito Okelo. More than thirty years later, he has entrenched his name in the history of Uganda as the biggest dictator of them all.
Secondly, Museveni rose to power proclaiming that he was a Marxist. At the University of Dar es Salasm, where he studied political science at the undergraduate level, he wrote a paper based on Frantz Fanon's book "The Wretched of the Earth" as partial fulfilment of his academic requirements. But as soon as he took power he transitioned into one of the biggest capitalists on the African continent. The West showcased him to the world as their "blue-eyed boy."
I am not arguing against capitalism or the West--I am a capitalist. I am merely drawing attention to his hypocrisy.
It is Museveni who unleashes violence on Bobi's supporters. By violently blocking Bobi Wine from holding his gigs, Museveni is indirectly elevating the status of the young man in the eyes of Ugandans.
It is no secret that Museveni is very uncomfortable to face any political opposition to his tyrannical rule. Anyone who looks to garner massive political support is violently brought down. That is despot pedigree.
How can one man think he and he alone knows how to solve Uganda's issues even after 33+yrs in power?
All the while tweaking the constitution to allow him to stay in power. Something that will never be accepted in Kenya today

    The time has come to thoughtfully and openly address the growing concern of clannism within the  Bukusu community , a prominent sub-tribe of the larger  Luhya nation . As one of the most diverse and widespread groups in Western Kenya, the Bukusu people currently comprise over 139 distinct clans. Their traditional and cultural heartland lies in  Bungoma County , which continues to serve as the central hub for the community. However, Bukusus are also significantly present in other counties such as Trans Nzoia ,  Kakamega ,  Busia , and  Vihiga . Moreover, in pursuit of better opportunities and livelihoods, many have migrated to urban centers across the country.     How Idi Amin took Uganda to the brink of war in 1976 after attempts to annex parts of Kenya Territory

            When Uganda’s former leader, Idi Amin, seized power   .Jomo kenyatta  from the then president, Milton Obote in 1971, his act was received with lots of cheers in Kampala but he would later be seen as a monster after he took up a dictatorial style of leadership.
